The Battle for Representation
The redistricting process in Monroe County happens every 10 years to reflect the latest census. The Monroe County Legislature has considered various proposals to increase Black representation under the Voting Rights Act.
The Crescent Map Coalition is a group of elected officials, faith leaders, community leaders, activists and citizens who are pushing for the best plan possible for the Crescent, a historically disenfranchised area of Rochester.
